Presenting a brand-new outdoor venue created around the perimeter footprint of the Totally Wicked Stadium designed to host live events and concerts on non-matchdays.
St.Helens is about to get louder, brighter, and bolder with the grand opening of the HALO, a brand-new state-of-the-art outdoor live events venue designed to bring unforgettable live performances.
Officially opening its gates this Summer the HALO is poised to become one of the Town’s go-to destinations for live events.
The unique concept utilises the rear footprint of the Totally Wicked stadium site and encompasses the HALO Stage to host live outdoor events including music concerts.
Cutting-edge sound and lighting systems, and an open-air amphitheatre that accommodates up to 7,000 attendees and is specially designed to cater for everything from major touring acts to local talent showcases, festivals, film nights, and more.
All of which are ideally suited to a venue of this scale, which can be held without the need to utilise the pitch within the stadium itself.
The HALO stage will be located in the Northwest area of the stadium footprint between the North and West Stands.
The Grand Opening event at the venue is to be held at the HALO Stage this Summer, with details to be revealed very shortly.

The venue makes use of the food and drink kiosk and restroom facilities of the stadium’s extensive concourses, as well being able to host external catering units and other outdoor facilities within its boundaries.
The Totally Wicked Stadium itself, including the pitch area, will continue to host larger live music events such as the Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott and The Who concerts, held in recent times.
The name of the HALO is derived from the link to the Saints, who of course play in the Totally Wicked Stadium, and the reference to its position located around the stadium perimeter.
This is the first major foray by the Club into utilising the current space around the stadium for additional events, which the Club hopes will be developed further in the near future to include matchday activity within the HALO footprint.

A spokesperson from St.Helens R.F.C. commented, “We are always looking at new ways we can utilise our fantastic stadium in addition to hosting our own Rugby League matches and Liverpool FC Women.
The growth of live music events locally and nationally means we can now offer an new option to host live events suited to a space of this size, which only helps to drive footfall and income into the Club and wider Town.
Whether you’re catching your favourite band or discovering new artists, we want to be able to host a wider variety and more frequent events that people will enjoy.
We look forward to the first event later this Summer and showcasing what the new venue can offer.”

Access to events at the venue will be through the main turnstiles in the West end of the Stadium, with facilities in these two stands also available to utilise, depending on the event.
