Saints Head Coach Paul Wellens has announced his 21-man squad for this Thursday's Betfred Super League away fixture against Warrington Wolves.
St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcement is sponsored by St Helens Flooring.
For the third time inside six weeks, the Red V will face the Wolves, with a determined aim of finishing this trilogy of fixtures with a positive result.
The last two matches between the Saints and the Wire have been closely fought contests which Thursday’s host side have edged, firstly in the league at the Totally Wicked Stadium in March, and then the Challenge Cup Quarter Final at the start of April.
Saints head into this match highly motivated after suffering a defeat on Good Friday to our fiercest rivals Wigan Warriors, 24-14. Furthermore, Wellens’ men will be fighting to stop a run of six straight losses to the Wolves, and kick on with our league ambitions and push back up the Betfred Super League table.
Warrington return home after losing their Easter match against Leigh Leopards 18-14, leaving them in ninth place in the league standings as we go into the Round 9 fixtures which kick-off on Thursday night.
Paul Wellens will provide an update on his squad following last Friday’s match and looking ahead to Thursday night’s clash with Warrington with his weekly press conference scheduled for this afternoon. Saints TV subscribers will be able to watch in full later on today.

SQUAD NEWS
Wellens makes just a single change to the squad that was declared for the Round 8 match against Wigan, with Joe Batchelor coming out of the side whilst young outside back Owen Dagnall steps in.
Batchelor came off the field early in the second half last time out, with our Head Coach confirming in his post-match press conference that he suffered a hamstring issue.
Dagnall is available for selection after working his way back from a quad tear picked up whilst on dual registration duty at Halifax Panthers, a game in which he scored a remarkable try from his own chipped and chased kick.
Owen made his official senior Saints debut in the Challenge Cup fixture against West Hull at the start of February, so if selected to play on Thursday night it would mark his Super League debut.
