PRE GAME

We had a lot of activities going on prior to the game on Friday evening.

Our new ‘Perfect Pass’ got underway outside the South Stand from 5:30pm, with fans around the stadium earlier than usual due to an academy clash between the two sides which kicked off at 5:15pm. If you fancy your shot at winning a prize at our next home game, one attempt is £2, with three attempts costing £5. Prizes at the home game against Warrington included a signed shirt & ball, match tickets and other prizes.

HALF TIME

During the break, we had Community Clubs facing off on the pitch at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with some potential Saints stars of the future on show.

THE GAME

Saints started the game the stronger of the two sides. An early Mark Percival penalty gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, but a converted George Williams try gave the visitors a 2-6 lead at the break.

A Marc Sneyd penalty increased the lead to 2-8, before Saints levelled courtesy of a converted Morgan Knowles try. Matty Ashton’s try converted by Sneyd gave Warrington a 8-14 lead before Saints scored again through Dayon Sambou, the missed conversion proving to be the difference between the two sides.
