St.Helens' Jack Welsby is on the six-man shortlist for the Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for February 2025.
Starting the 2025 season on fire, ‘Super Jack’ has two tries and an astonishing nine assists to his name from the opening three rounds of the new league season. If this were to include the Challenge Cup Third Round match too, Welsby’s assist tally would read eleven tries being set up from his play.
Jack has scored in successive weeks in West Yorkshire, with his first try scored at Castleford Tigers in breathtaking fashion evading several Cas men to go over for a fully deserved score – take a look at that try below. The England fullback also grabbed a try last Saturday against Wakefield after refusing to give up on a chaotic play and jumping on a ball before it went out dead.
