There are two matches for St.Helens coming up this week with our Academy and First Team in action!
On Friday night we have an Academy friendly fixture at local community club Blackbrook, and then on Saturday the Saints’ First Team are back in West Yorkshire to take on Wakefield.

FRIDAY
Academy vs Bradford Bulls (H) – Friendly
After a long Pre-Season our Under 18s are hungry and ready for their first hit-out of 2025! The Saints Academy will take on Bradford Bulls, with both teams looking to sharpen their tools before the Reserves Championship and Academy Championship seasons begins within the next few weeks.
Our aims remain high, after finishing the 2024 Under 18s season at the top of the table for a third successive year but falling agonisingly short of back-to-back title victories in the Grand Final.
With a number of our youngsters stepping up into the First Team, our proud history of developing youth talent continues and our 2025 Academy talents could be stars of the Super Legaue in the years to come!

SATURDAY
The Saints head to West Yorkshire for the second time in as many weeks after an impressive 6-46 victory over Castleford Tigers last Saturday night. After facing a Salford side made up mostly of Reserves players, Paul Wellens’ Saints were hungry for a tougher challenge and came up with a strong performance.
Whilst we are still in the early stages of the league campaign, St.Helens are hungry to keep hold of the top spot in the table and extend our current competitive run of victories to four matches.
