HMS present toolkits to the Saints

Associate Club Partner HMS have kindly gifted toolkits to members of the St.Helens First Team to assist them in completing their apprenticeships!

Joe Batchelor, Agnatius Paasi and Ben Davies were each kindly given a toolkit bag, alongside other items which will assist them as they complete their apprenticeships with HMS themselves and Hybrid College.

Joe and Agnatius are in the midst of finishing their electrical installation apprenticeship, while Ben’s is a plumbing qualification.

The Club encourages our players to develop themselves not only on the pitch, but also for life off it too, to help ensure they have careers and paths for when the time comes to hang up the playing boots. The support of HMS with our club and our players in this regard has been outstanding.

Our heartfelt thanks goes to all involved at HMS, especially Head of Customer Experience Gail Farley who made the presentation of the toolkits to the Saints men.

St.Helens R.F.C.’s Chaplain & Wellbeing Manager Paul Johnson said: “We at Saints are always talking about ‘Dual Careers’ and emphasise the importance of having a plan for life whilst playing rugby league, and for when you are no longer playing rugby league.

“With the help with the likes of HMS, a terrific club partner, we are able to help our players achieve these ‘Dual Careers’. On and off the field, we strive for excellence, and I am sure that Joe, Ben and Iggy will continue in that regard.”
