Seven stars of St.Helens Women have been named in the England Women's squad that will head to Las Vegas to face world champion Australia Jillaroos on Saturday, 1st March 2025.
England Women’s Head Coach Stuart Barrow has named a 20-woman squad list for the huge clash which takes place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as part of a huge quadruple header of rugby league action.
Headed up by England and St.Helens Women’s Captain Jodie Cunningham, the Saints selected for the international test are; Amy Hardcastle, Zoe Harris, Shona Hoyle, Katie Mottershead, Erin Stott, Vicky Whitfield.
Cunningham, Hardcastle and Hoyle were involved in the last England/Australia meeting back in 2017.
Among the squad too is former Saint Paige Travis who has been training with the Red V in the Pre-Season ahead of her move to Parramatta Eels in the NRLW.
England Women Head Coach, Stuart Barrow commented: “Every player in this travelling squad has an important role to play when we face the Australia Jillaroos in three weeks’ time.
“It’s been a really difficult selection process because there is a lot of talent within the group, which means there are some very good players who will unfortunately miss out.
“Now we have to focus on the challenge that lies ahead which is a historic fixture against the world champions for the first time since 2017 and I’m very much looking forward to getting the group together for our final camp next weekend.”
Fans are invited to cheer on England Women before they head to Las Vegas when the squad meet for their final training session at Weetwood Sports Park in Leeds on Sunday 16 February (10am-12pm).
All four matches as part of the Rugby League in Las Vegas 2025 will be shown live on Sky Sports – with England v Australia kicking off at 2am UK time.Tickets and travel information can also be found here.
