Scholarship, First Team and Reserves action for the Saints this week!

St.Helens start proceedings on Wednesday night with our Under 16s taking on Wakefield in their final match of the year. Friday night sees the First Team take on Leigh, and our Reserves also face the Leopards on Saturday afternoon.

WEDNESDAY
Scholarship vs Wakefield Trinity (H)
It is the final match of the 2024 Under 16s season for our Saints and they welcome the West Yorkshire side to our home stadium.
Our youngest Saints have three wins to their name in the year, and will be eager to finish off the eight round season in strong fashion. The latest win came a fortnight ago 16-34, away against Huddersfield Giants at Laund Hill.
This match is our only home fixture this week, so get down to the ground on Wednesday and cheer our lads on!

FRIDAY
First Team vs Leigh Leopards (A)
The Saints will be fighting to get back to winning ways after a tough run of results whilst down on troops due to injuries. The Red V remain in the hunt near the top of the Super League as we head into the final third of the regular season, but need to shake off the recent run of form.
With a number of our youngsters stepping up and looking to make their mark, the support of the Saints faithful fans being in the stands is so important heading into hostile territory.
Leigh sit in eight place in the league ladder, outside the play-offs mix, but head into this round of matches on a two-match winning run. The Leopards are aiming to make a late surge into the top six, and will view this Friday’s match as a big one for their play-offs bid.

SATURDAY
Reserves vs Leigh Leopards (A)
The Saints Reserves are back in action a fortnight on from their huge 10-50 away day win over Wigan Warriors last time out.
Derek Hardman’s men are now top of the Reserves League table by a point, with a strong points difference advantage too over Wigan in second spot, and both Hull KR and Hull FC who are third and fourth respectively who are two league points behind the Red V.
Saints will be looking to perform well to stay at the top, and build momentum with just matches in the campaign remaining.
The Leopards Reserves side have four wins and five losses to their record so far in 2024, besting Huddersfield Giants in their last run out which was also a home fixture.
