SAINTS home game with Hull KR celebrates the contribution of our Armed Forces as part of the wider Armed Forces Day commemorations.
The match, which kicks off at 8pm on June 28, features a range of military themed events both inside and outside Langtree Park in the build-up to the Super League clash.
Our local Territorial Army Regiment will be displaying some of their equipment as well as hosting some interactive activities outside the Solarking South Stand.
And we’ve once again linked up with the ABF – The Soldier’s Charity, who are match programme sponsors for the game, to help highlight some of the activity they undertake to look after injured soldiers once they leave the armed forces.
One of the ABF’s representatives will carry out the matchball as was so poignantly done at the same fixture last season by local ABF ambassador Andy Reid.
On the day we will also welcome the Rugby League teams from various local Regiments to show our appreciation for their efforts in defending our country.
North West Regional Director of the ABF, Colonel Philip Naylor, said: “We’re delighted to be a part of this special event at Langtree Park. The club have opened their doors to us and their commitment to the charity is superb.
“We look forward to displaying what the charity does as well as taking in a superb game of Rugby League.”
The Club now has a range of dual branded polo shirts sporting both the ABF and Saints crests on sale.
A donation from each will be made to the ABF and are available in sizes S-3XL and are strictly limited in quantity.
They will be available to pre-order online today at the Saints Superstore and will also be available to purchase in store on the day of the game.
These are priced at £14.99 each or 2 for £25.
Tickets for Friday’s match are now on sale from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park, by calling 01744 455 052 or by logging on here
