Following a disappointing afternoon that saw our Challenge Cup run come to an end, we caught up to with Matty Lees to discuss the game.
He started by saying that we are all really disappointed to be out of the Cup. As a playing group the said had put a lot of focus on doing something in the Cup this year, so to come out of it is really disappointing.
Matty went on to say that there are no excuses for the performance. We simply weren’t good enough, and Warrington were better than us, and we let them get on top of us.
The start of the game was promising for us, as we started well, but when the points didn’t come, Matty said he felt we let that get to us, and that’s something we need to work on going forward.
With Wakefield up next in the league, it’s our opportunity to bounce back. They gave us a really tough game away from home and so we know we’ll need to be at our best to get the result.
