We have two matches coming up this week for St.Helens with our Reserves and First Team both in action!
On Thursday night Ian Talbot’s young Reserves side will head over to West Yorkshire to face Leeds Rhinos at Stanningley. Then on Saturday, Paul Wellens’ senior Saints will be in France to take on Catalans Dragons!
See the key information for both matches below.
THURSDAY
Reserves vs Leeds Rhinos (A)
It’s Round 3 in the Reserves Championship and the Red V have one win and one loss to their record so far in the competition.
Last time out an absorbing and enthralling derby away day clash against Wigan Warriors saw George Whitby get the Saints Reserves’ first victory of the year with a clutch drop goal. The match was a classic derby encounter with both sides giving their all and the lead switching back and forth, but crucially, it was a St.Helens victory.
The Rhinos, led by Chev Walker as coach, have two wins to their name so far in 2025 over Leigh away and Huddersfield at home.
- Thursday, 27th March 2025
- Kick-off at 7pm
- Stanningley SARLC, Leeds, LS13 1PA
- Match entry is £5 for Adults and £3 for Juniors
SATURDAY
First Team vs Catalans Dragons (A)
St.Helens go over to Perpignan for our first match against the Dragons in 2025 for a Super Saturday as the only Super League match to be played on the day, with both teams typically giving nothing less than a full-blooded contest.
There will be plenty of motivation beyond this rivalry which has built over recent years, as both The Saints and Les Dracs are looking to build form, just one week out from the Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Finals.
Steve McNamara’s side got their best result of the league season so far this past weekend with a 4-26 away win over Castleford Tigers for their second Super League victory of the year so far.
- Saturday, 29th March 2025
- Kick-off at 5:30pm (UK) / 6:30pm (France)
- Stade Gilbert Brutus, Perpignan, France
