Back to West Yorkshire we go for the second consecutive week, but this time our Saints take on Wakefield Trinity for the first time since their return to Betfred Super League, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm.
Now back in the big time, Trinity are out to prove they are not here to make up the numbers, they want to be competitive and based on their recruitment as well as their efforts in the opening two rounds – Wakefield is going to be a tough place to go.
The Saints go to Trinity’s home on the back on an impressive 6-46 away victory over Castleford Tigers. After facing a Salford side made up mostly of Reserves players, Paul Wellens’ Saints were hungry for a tougher challenge and came up with a strong performance.
Whilst we are still in the early stages of the league campaign, St.Helens are hungry to keep hold of the top spot in the table and extend our current competitive run of victories to four matches.
