Following our away from home victory in round two, head coach Paul Wellens spoke to the press to discuss the game.
Paul said he was very pleased with how the game went, stating Castleford is always a tough place to come to, and with it being their opening game of the season too, we knew we’d be up against it. We came through that though, and put in a brilliant performance.
In what was a Player of the Match performance from Jack Welsby, Paul was full of praise for him calling him one of the best in the world, but also paid credit to Tristan Sailor and Jonny Lomax for the way they played him into the game.
Harry Robertson again put in an outstanding performance. We always give our youngsters opportunities, and Harry has taken his, and as long as he continues to perform, he’ll continue to play
Morgan knowles left the field for a HIA in the first half, Paul confirmed he failed his HIA and so will be ruled out under concussion protocols.
