Rugby League Commercial and IMG have today revealed the club grades for professional rugby league clubs, and St.Helens R.F.C. is pleased to confirm that the Club has received the highest rated grade of 'A'.
Club grading will determine the membership of the top twelve ranked clubs participating in the 2025 Betfred Super League competition, following IMG’s Reimagining Rugby League recommendations.
Clubs graded ‘A’ will be guaranteed participation in Super League (as long as the grade is maintained).
With a score of 17.02 points, St.Helens R.F.C. has been ranked 1st in this first year of official club grading.
The maximum available score for clubs is out of 20 based on a detailed analysis of every club’s performance under five pillars which are: Fandom, Performance, Finances, Stadium, and Community.
CEO of St.Helens R.F.C. Mike Rush commented on the news, saying: “Our Club always strives to be a leader in the world of rugby league, on and off the pitch, and so we are pleased that St.Helens has been issued a ‘Grade A’ by IMG and Rugby League Commercial.
