Wellens & Roby deliver Willowbrook Hospice Saints shirts

As part of our partnership with local charity Willowbrook Hospice, Head Coach Paul Wellens and Leadership, Culture & Performance Coach James Roby went along to visit the Hospice and present them their signed framed partner shirts!

Since its establishment in 1993 and opening its doors in 1997, Willowbrook Hospice has been an independent charity that provides to our local community, specialist palliative care for patients with complex needs.

As a compassionate and local charity, over 10,000 patients have been cared in the best possible way, thanks to the Hospice.

Willowbrook Hospice’s care is not charged but relies on significant fundraising efforts alongside a modest contribution from the NHS. Donations and their retail business charitable shops are vital to ensuring their outstanding level of care can continue to be provided.

Ahead of the 2024 rugby league season, St.Helens R.F.C. were proud to announce that Willowbrook Hospice branding would feature on all our 2024 junior replica kits, as well as on our First Team players’ kits for the away fixture against Catalan Dragons. This was also thanks to long-standing Club partners Totally Wicked who kindly chose to gift their sponsorship opportunity on junior kits, and our shirts worn to be worn in France to Willowbrook, thereby increasing their visibility and support within the community. You can read more on that story by clicking here.

The Saints are also delighted to confirm that at our upcoming Betfred Super League Round 21 home fixture against Salford Red Devils on Thursday, 8th August will feature a Willowbrook takeover with the charity being highlighted in celebration of our partnership for the 2024 season. Keep an eye out for more news on this as we approach the fixture!
